To All Black Hills Heritage Festival Food Concessionaires
From: Mark Rambow, Executive
Director
This is a reminder of business items you will need to participate in the
Black Hills Heritage Festival this year.
1. South Dakota Health Dept./Sales Tax Permit All vendors have received a
copy of the information from the South Dakota State Health Dept. It is your
responsibility to have your application on file with the State Dept. of Health
with your fees paid before the event opens. Please call if you did not receive
your packet. The enclosed State Sales Tax information must also be on file with
the State prior to move in. If you have not done so, take action on this sales
permit immediately. If you miss the opportunity to do this in advance, a
representative of each organization will be on hand to answer questions and fill
out your forms before you open for business.
2. Mandatory Food Vendor Meeting is scheduled for noon on July 3rd
at the Main Stage Tent. At this meeting, Fire Dept. Health Dept. Police,
security and city officials will be on hand to discuss city regulations and
state requirements. We will discuss storage of
propane, food competition, and meals for board members, staff, and guests. We
will review the parking policy. We will discuss restocking options and tear
down. If you do not participate in this meeting you will not be invited to
participate in the 2002 Festival. Call 605-341-5940 with any and all questions.
3. Proof of Insurance- You need to provide me with a copy of your
insurance noting the Heritage Festival as ADDITIONAL INSURED prior to move in.
Thank you to the large share of vendors who have done this. To expedite your
load in, please get a copy to me as soon as possible.
I look forward to this year as Heritage Festival Director and the opportunity
to meet and work with all of you for a successful 2002 event.
